At this time, it is necessary to give 3-5ml of lidocaine as the test amount to observe whether the patient has complications such as local anesthetic into the blood or obvious lower extremity paralysis. After 10-15 minutes of local anesthesia, the operation can begin. After surgery, an analgesia pump can be attached to the epidural catheter for postoperative analgesia or the epidural catheter can be removed.
